A Very True Short Story In the Oregon Dunes

  • A story reminded me of a very old, of what I thought was an abandoned Cemetery by a National Park Camping grounds in the Oregon Dunes. It was off and away from all the trails, hidden in the under growth. So being a young adventurer preteen, I picked Rhododendron Flowers to place on each grave:) What a surprise, when I was done and was admiring the beautiful sight, I heard children’s voices! I peeked out from the forest and saw a young mother with her little children bringing flowers for one of the graves! Wouldn’t you know it!. She was so startled to see flowers on that grave and then she stood there and looked around through the woods at all the flowers I had placed on all the other graves. I slip away quietly with that memory.
