In 1862, December 26, Abraham Lincoln sentenced 38 Dakota men…fathers, uncles, brothers…to hang in what is still the largest mass execution in modern history.

The colonial governments continue, to this day, to murder our people. They take our children and place them in “care” only to go missing and murdered. Economic sanctions placed on our communities in the form of the “indian” act, disguised as protection of rights.
Nothing has changed since 1862. Not a damn thing.

If there is anyone out there, native or non native, help us as Dakota people, to repeal the indian act. We’re tired of surviving from day to day. We want to live and prosper. Our grandchildren deserve better.
