I soak mine in witch hazel (it’s cheaper) and add catnip and lemongrass. The catnip is MUCH stronger for repelling bugs but the yarrow helps. I shake it everyday (in a mason jar – with the liquid just above the herbs) for about 3 weeks. Strain it and put it in a spray bottle. I have noticed that it tends to require reapplication more often than chemical sprays and am thinking if I were to add a grape seed or vit e oil, that it would stay on better
I use the flowers soaked in vodka to make an insect repellant spray. Leaves can also be used to stop bleeding. Lots of medicinal uses for yarrow.
