Our first film on DVD today!
Today is the release date for “Dancing on the Moon” to be available at which sells and distributes a vast selection of independent films at really great prices (“DOTM” DVDs will sell for $9.99).

I have fond memories of “Dancing on the Moon,” kind of like it was my first child. Wait, it was! Hard to believe we shot it way back in 2002. The characters seem like old friends that I haven’t seen in a long time.

The film’s history in a nutshell: It was my very first script, and it got me accepted into two Sundance Institute screenwriting labs, was a top 250 finalist in the first round of the Project Greenlight Matt Damon/Ben Affleck screenwriting competition, and one dead car later, we finally got it made for less than $15,000.

We had a massive premiere at the Orpheum Theatre in Wichita over two nights (about 1,200 total attendance), and we had a nice festival run kicking off with the American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco (where I was nominated for best supporting actor and won a special jury award for promising newcomer).

The film went on to play at more than 25 festivals, winning the audience award in Kansas City, and best actor at the American Indian L.A. Film and TV Awards (for my bro Guy Ray). I got to travel to tons of wonderful places promoting and sharing the film (I even saw it with Italian subtitles at a festival in Italy).

Anyway, check it out. Every little bit helps (we’re raising money for our new feature with more fund raisers to come).

Here’s to making more movie memories,
